I wanted to say thank you for your generous donation. its kind hearted people like you who ensure that we can carry on providing magical moments for our dreamers.
I am delighted to be writing back to you, to let you know the impact that your donation has made. Reach For A Dream core focus of fulfilling dreams of children who are fighting life threatening illnesses. Your generous contribution has allowed us to touch more lives and fulfil more dreams. I wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all your support.
We have been able to fulfil 6 dreams a day and over the last year alone we were able to fulfil 1666 dreams for 2019, we could not have done this without your support. Our dreams have a number of categories that make it possible for us to fulfil each child’s dream no matter how big or small the dream is; we go through great lengths to make this dream a reality.
I am also excited to let you know we have national Slipper day coming up on the 8th May. For many children who are fighting life threatening illnesses they spend most of their time in hospitals, where they wear pyjamas and slippers. To raise awareness and to stand in solidarity with them we encourage you, your family, friends and colleagues to join us and wear Slippers on the 8th May to help us raise awareness and give children hope, strength and courage.
I wanted to take a moment to share with you the 2 Dreams that we recently fulfilled.
Ndumiso (5) from Pretoria (Read more below)
Ndumiso had the time of his life playing at the Fun Room. He enjoyed all the activities from the trampoline to the slide and the giant ball pit. The highlight of his day, was when he received his dream, a Bubblegum tablet, complete with matching headphones. He smiled so brightly and instantly put the headphones on and started playing games. It was such a fantastic day for him.
Lufefe (12) from East London is all about giving a helping hand to the needy. (Read more below)
She loves people and recently joined a group called Soul Buddyz who are involved in cleaning, helping children who are orphans and making a difference in their community. She is full of life and one day would love to be a pilot. Her ultimate dream was to have her own laptop so that she can improve her maths skills online. She could not contain herself when she finally received her laptop. Lufefe was in total awe!
Thank you for making all these dreams come true, we could have not done this without your support. I look forward to writing to you again to share more stories about the difference you making.
Don’t forget to wear your slippers on the 8th May
