¡Hi everybody! Thank you very much for your support on this project. Your help means a lot not only for the Foundation Proacceso, but also the people who everyday improve their skills. We are thankful for your support through this journey!
We are pleased to inform that, the MakersLab initiative arrived to our Toluca center 2. MakersLab will empower youth through the use of technology amonga space for digital manufacturing equipped with the latest technology and necessary tools to create ambitious projects that mix engineering, 3D modeling, art and digital design.
Leticia, a staff leader of the Toluca center 2, made a huge effort to strong this initiative establishing an alliance with the local Institute of Youth (IMEJ by its spanish acronym). So, for the opening she invited the Institution to a ribbon cutting ceremony. Damián who heads the Department of Alliances with youth organizations, attended the event in representation of IMEJ. This alliance will allow that the youngters from the Institute have access to scholarships for the courses offered in the MakersLab.
Now MakersLab is part of the Pro-juventud network!, which means more educational opportunities for youth people. As a result, the Institute will placed a badge at Toluca center 2 with the insignia: “Youth Power Centers”.
MakersLab initiative is growing thanks to our staff commitment, Leticia is an example of it. She showed leadership and proactivity in order to open new doors and get a bigger impact in the community, especially with the teenagers of the surroundings. She is a role model and definitely an agent of change.
The Foundation Proacceso is glad to have people like Leticia and is committed to enlarge MakersLab to other regions. Keep supporting us!
