More than 69% of the population, or 78 million Mexicans, do not have access to the internet. Mexico's public education system is ranked among the worst in the OECD countries. There is a lack of incentives to boost the inventive capacity of the population which explains the failure of Mexicos development in technology and innovation. The results are close to zero: Mexico produces .8 % of the intellectual property in the world and only 0.4% of GDP is invested in science, technology and innovation
We work with high school and undergraduate students. We provide them with academic enrichment courses in math, reading, and English and build intellectual abilities in critical-thinking, research, and communication. Through our programs, with the support of our dedicated educators and this new space specialized in innovation and creativity we will help them to prepare for the challenges of a higher education or finding a job that quickly brings them the returns they need to have opportunities.
The RIA is a network of centers that connect underserved populations to quality education and technology. With this project we will serve 350 students and support them to reach their full potential, prepare them to strengthen their academic performance and motivate them to give their talents back to their families and communities. We partner with parents and teachers to address the comprehensive education needs of our students and advocate for healthy families and challenging schools.
