Coding for success!

Hi there! We are very excited to have the chance of telling you how our donation is making a difference and helping Mexican youth to become the next tech innovators!

Thanks to  your support, in the past months we were able to implement a Robotics program inside a Mini MakersLab in the municipality of Ixtapaluca in the State of Mexico. This program has the objective of promoting invention and creativity in youth by learning the fundamentals of coding, electronics and mechanics. By finishing this course, students are able to apply their knowledge into projects to be enhanced by the use of technologies such as laser cutting, 3D printing and other available tools in the MakersLab.

To showcase the success of this program let us tell you the story of Ana. She is a 13 year old young woman who decided to try to learn new things and joined our robotics course. Ana thinks that coding is not an exclusive activity for males and even though she is not sure whether she wants to make a career in a tech related field, she found very useful to learn everything about building a robot and operating it through a computer.

In her classes, Ana met Daisy and together they programmed a song though a micro controller and a speaker, they also researched about the song they liked, design the coding behind their project and produced the song. After all that hard work they were very satisfied to finally being able to listen to the song as a finished product. As a team, Ana and Daisy showed their classmates that girls can also be part of innovative and creative projects, leaving a strong statement about women's role in tech related activities.

All of this is possible thanks to your donations. Every penny counts in changing lives and creating success stories like Ana.

Thanks!
