Every surgery, every doctor appointment and every therapy brought a new source of heartache for Megan and her family. “As a mom, I wish I could give Megan what she deserves,” said her mom. “But some things I just cannot fix.”
Since finding out that Megan’s wish to have a balance and mobility service dog is being granted, her mom said there’s a sense of hope that hasn’t been there before. Megan hopes that a service dog will help her get around better, provide comfort, soothe her anxieties and be her friend.
Thanks to donors like you, Megan and McCoy, are quickly becoming besties. When they first met, Megan smiled and engaged with others in a way that her parents haven’t seen in years.
“Knowing she will be able to move about the community without falling means more than words can express,” said her mom. “I feel that MY dream is coming true for Megan, knowing she will feel more confident as she continues to grow.”
