Sean, 16, of Hillsboro is a true Trekkie through and through. It was no surprise that he wished to go to the place where all Trekkies congregate and celebrate their love of Star Trek… the official STAR TREK Convention in Las Vegas.
Prior to his wish, Sean was inducted into a local fan group with a large ceremony. He received a costume to wear at the event, and attended some of their fan events this summer. At the airport greeting, he was met by many of the members of the fan group, all in costume.
At the Vegas convention, Sean saw all of his favorite costumed characters, and even wore one himself. He perused vendor booths with collectibles and took photos with attendees. Sean also enjoyed meet-and-greets with three of his favorite actors: Patrick Stewart, William Shatner and Leonard Nemoy.
Sean was beyond excited with his experience and, to top it all off, was able to help break the world record for most costumed Star Trek characters in one place!
