Millions of children in rural Pakistan still lack access to basic education. Global Education Campaign and Dosti Welfare Organization's "One Room School" model brings learning to their doorsteps-literally. With your help, we can transform a single room into a fully functional classroom for 30 out-of-school children. Give them a learning space. Give them a teacher. Give them books. Give them a future.
In remote and underserved communities across Pakistan, millions of children are out of school-either because there are no schools nearby, families cannot afford education, or child labor is the only option. Girls are especially at risk. Traditional schooling models cannot reach these communities fast enough or affordably.
Our One Room School model is simple, scalable, and effective: - A simple room/masjid/varenda in a local home or community space - One teacher from within the community - 40 children, taught up to a primary-level basic curriculum - Free writing tools, and learning materials - Emphasis on literacy, numeracy, health awareness, and character-building - We also focus on encouraging girls' education, ensuring at least 50% enrollment of female students in each school.
1. Each school serves as a launchpad-some children go on to formal secondary education, others gain lifelong literacy and confidence. 2. Communities become stakeholders in education, promoting ownership and sustainability. 3. Female literacy and empowerment increase, breaking cycles of poverty. 4. To date, Dosti has launched over 50 One Room Schools, reaching thousands of children who had never stepped into a classroom before.
