In 2025, the "Nezabutni" Charitable Foundation successfully continued its mission to create safe, stigma-free spaces for people with dementia and their caregivers by organizing 12 Memory Café events across five Ukrainian cities: Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, Dnipro, and Poltava.
Each event brought together individuals living with dementia and their families in a warm, supportive environment. Through art therapy, music, conversation, and shared meals, participants experienced moments of joy, connection, and emotional relief. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive—many caregivers have shared that these gatherings offer rare opportunities for relaxation and social interaction, both for themselves and their loved ones.
Volunteers and local coordinators have been instrumental in making these events possible, and our network of dementia-friendly cafes continues to grow stronger. However, the demand for such safe and inclusive spaces far exceeds our current capacity.
We are now seeking additional support to increase the frequency of events in 2025–2026, expand to more cities, and strengthen our organizational capacity. Your donations help ensure that more families affected by dementia can experience connection, dignity, and care in their communities.
