Planning for Christmas
By Andrew Mullens | Kimbilio Support
Thank you for your generous donations to the Kimbilio Project to make Christmas Special for street children in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Although we are some months away from Christmas 2024, the fundraising throughout the year is so important for us to be able to have sufficient funds to be able to provide a special Christmas for these children.
It is important that the street children can experience the excitement and generosity of Christmas that children in families enjoy and so Kimbilio will give presents and provide a special Christmas meal. This will be followed by games and music.
Thabk you again for your valued support for this Project

A Time of Celebration
By Andrew Mullens | Kimbilio Support
Christmas at the school
Thank you so much for your financial support for the Kimbilio Project 'Make Christmas special for DRC Street Children'. At a time of the year when families celebrate Christmas together, it is so important that we can make Christmas a time of celebration for the street children.
As we have done before, on Christmas Day 2023, we provided a special meal at the Day Centre followed by party games and surprises. It is lovely to see the children enjoying themselves and casting their worries behind. Those children living in the four Kimbilio houses also enjoyed their own celebrations and dressed up for the occasion. At the Kimbilio school, each of the children received a present, sometimes almost as large as them!
We are now raising funds through the year so that we can provide a special Christmas celebration this coming December for those children who are separated from their families and living on the streets.

Excitement is Building

Excitement!
Thank you so much for your generous donations to the Kimbilio Project 'Make Christmas Special for DRC Street Children'. It is so important that we look after the street children at this time of year.
Christmas is when children living on the streets miss the warmth and love of a family and feel more isolated than ever. The Kimbilio team of carers in Lubumbashi look forward to being able to provide a special Christmas experience at the Day Centre for these isolated children. They are given a Christmas lunch, they play party games and get a present to take away. The joy on the children's faces as they enjoy these activities is tangible and gives them the knowledge that they are loved and special.
The children in Kimbilio's two long-term houses and two short-term houses also get a special Christmas experience, often involving music and dance, and it is lovely to see them so happy and contented.
