This Christmas, Women for Women in Africa is hoping to raise $20,000 to bring joy, health, and hope to children and families living in Kibera - Africa's largest slum, located in Kenya. Your support will provide 320 families (over 1200 people benefit) with Christmas food packs, fund a community celebration meal, and support essential needs like safe housing, clean water, and education. Together, we can make Christmas brighter for every child we support.
For many families in Kibera, Christmas is not a day of celebration - it's another day of struggle for survival. Food insecurity, limited access to healthcare, and unsafe housing conditions leave children and parents facing the holidays without nutrition or stability. When schools and community centres close for the break, many families lose access to the daily meals and emotional support they so desperately rely on. Without help, Christmas can be an especially difficult time.
With your support, Women for Women In Africa will: Provide 320 take-home food packs so families can enjoy Christmas meals together. Host a Christmas celebration at our Centre - a day of joy, music, and shared community togetherness. Fund emergency housing, clean water, and educational resources to support families beyond the holiday season. Each donation helps us deliver both immediate relief and long-term change.
Your contribution will do more than feed families - it will foster dignity, health, hope, and stability. Families will gain confidence knowing they can celebrate together. Children return to the WkW Centre and school safe, nourished and ready to learn. Women and youth benefit from improved facilities, internet access, and safe spaces. Over time, your gift helps strengthen the entire WFWIA community - one family at a time.
