The Holy month of Ramadan is upon us, and like every year, needy families in Aarsal, which is a rural village in Northeastern Lebanon, are struggling to make ends meet or even survive. This year URDA is launching an initiative that aims to remind the vulnerable and the privileged alike that anyone can make a difference and impact other people's lives, one good deed at a time.
The Blessed month of Ramadan is just around the corner and the need for relief and aid is only getting bigger by the day. Fasting is already a hard task for believers all around the world, imagine having to prepare for Ramadan as a refugee in a tent. After concluding various field studies and distributions, URDA's team has found that food and nutrition aid is a top priority, Followed by Eid's hot meals and clothing for children that give a chance to kids to live a festive season for once.
This project aims to help refugees and needy families in Aarsal experience a holy month in a dignified way. Children that have never tasted joy and hope will get the chance to live such a holiday for the first time. You can contribute in creating this happiness by donating and supporting this project that targets needy families all over Lebanon. In a country where corruption, problems and misery suffocate the poor, help us in creating hope, joy and safety for these needy people.
This initiative will feed a massive number of underprivileged families in Aarsal that range from Syrian refugees to Lebanese families living under the line of poverty. The idea behind our project is that donating and supplying needy people with food goes beyond nutrition, it represents safety, hope and dignity. YOU can be part of the positive change by participating and raising awareness about the topic.
