By Ann Cheeseman | Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation
As we begin a new year, we want to share how energized and excited we are for what lies ahead at the Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation. Thanks to your continued generosity, we are entering this next chapter with momentum, purpose, and strong leadership to guide our work.
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Seema Venkatachalam Malkani has been appointed Chair of the Lynn Sage Board of Directors. Dr. Venkatachalam succeeds Halee Sage, whose leadership, vision, and steadfast commitment have helped shape Lynn Sage into the impactful organization it is today. On behalf of our entire community, we extend my deepest gratitude to Halee for her years of service and for her enduring dedication to advancing breast cancer research.
Dr. Venkatachalam is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist and Clinical Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, with more than two decades of clinical experience and a deep commitment to women’s health, prevention, and health equity. She previously served as Chair of the Lynn Sage Grants Committee, where she helped steward our research investments and gained deep insight into our diversified funding model that strengthens the entire system advancing breast cancer care. Her expertise, collaborative leadership style, and passion for patient-centered care make her an exceptional leader as we look to the future.
We are also delighted to welcome several new members to the Lynn Sage Board of Directors:
Together, this group brings a powerful mix of medical, strategic, communications, and community expertise that will help guide Lynn Sage as we continue to fund innovative breast cancer research, support early-career investigators, and strengthen the systems that move breast cancer care forward.
Thank you for being such an essential part of the Lynn Sage community. Your support makes this work possible, and we are grateful to enter the year ahead with renewed leadership and shared optimism for the impact still to come.
