LWFCI-UK Sports Club is an inclusive sports club for boys, girls and young people under the age of 17 years . The aim is to develop people's confidence, aspirations, improved relationship and social development as well as improving physical and mental well-being. LWFCI Sports Club has been delivering football since 2013 . We are asking for funding to expand football projects engaging more young people in sports and play football tournament with other external team as community football festival.
Ramsden Estate is one of the poorest area in Orpington with high level of deprivation and high incidents of youth violence. We have been working in this community since 2015 and the majority of our members live in this area. There is a lack of affordable youth club for social integration, high levels of boredom and isolation leading young people into anti social behaviour and being on the steer due to lack of meaningful activities for young people. Football will help them to play and engage .
There is also a need for social integration and community cohesion in the deprived areas such as Bromley Common, Downham and St Mary Cray, specifically among the Black African and minority ethnic groups. Sports is an excellent way to engage people with each other to enhance friendships, confidence, emotional capabilities and social development. This project is needed due and it bring young people together to play and create community friendship and social integration among young people
We are aiming to provide 3 hours of both Football football tournament and 2 hours of family festival award event where all young people and their families will come together and celebrate . Members will Improve their Health , Physical and wellbeing: Young people will learn new sporting skills, improve their mental and physical health and wellbeing. These improvements can have an impact directly on families relationship since sport improves good mood which is beneficial to the whole family.
