Dear “LULËZOJNË” Supporters,
Over the past months, we at TOKA have had the privilege of getting to know the scholars behind the “LULËZOJNË” scholarships in a much more personal way. Through a series of short video testimonials, we’ve been able to listen to their stories, hear their voices, and witness the journeys that your support has made possible.
What stands out most is not only what these scholarships provide materially, but what they mean emotionally. Many of these young people spoke about feeling seen, supported, and believed in, often for the first time on their academic journey. Your generosity is not only easing financial pressure but it is creating space for confidence, hope, and ambition to grow.
The testimonials highlight a diverse group of young people from across Kosova, including young women, rural youth, ethnic minority communities, and first-year university students who are pursuing studies in fields such as computer science, law, architecture, medicine, and engineering.
Beyond financial support, many recipients emphasize the psychological impact of the scholarship: being recognized, supported, and encouraged to continue both their studies, and volunteer work. Several are already engaged in internships and community activities, demonstrating the program's highlight role in fostering both professional growth, and a sense of responsibility toward their community.
What moved us deeply is how often they spoke about giving back. So many of the “LULËZOJNË” scholars see this opportunity not as an endpoint, but as a responsibility, to contribute to their communities, to stand for justice and inclusion, and to create positive change for others.
As we continue to gather and share these testimonials, I want to personally thank you. Each story we document is, in many ways, a reflection of your belief in these young people. Your support is shaping lives in ways that go far beyond what can be measured.
Thank you for believing in these young people and for helping create opportunities that can truly make a change!
Thank you for standing with them and with us.
With gratitude,
Hatixhe Zeka
