A couple of days back Abdul Baqi brought his 9 year old son Jannan in emergency to LRBT Hospital with a 2” piece of wood pierced into his eye. He told the hospital staff that a child hit my son with a stick while playing when a piece of the stick broke and pierced my son’s eye. I immediately took him to several doctors who told me to take him to the nearest city as he could not be treated in the village, but due to lack of transport that night I couldn’t, though my son was in constant pain. On Monday morning I took him to various hospitals in the nearby city but all of them replied that this case needs a major surgery and we don’t have the facility. Someone there told me about LRBT Free Eye Care Hospital and I rushed him there where my son was examined in emergency and after reforming a complicated surgery, doctors not only removed the piece of wood but his eye, nose and throat were also saved which could have been severely damaged. (See Jannan's pictures below)
