Thank you for supporting our project "Help Low Income MD-VA-DC Area Get Veterinary Care." We know there are a lot of very important programs that need support this time of year, so we are grateful to have you helping needy families keep their family members (read: pets) happy and healthy!
We continue to help as many animals and families in two low-income communities in Anne Arundel County, MD. These two area codes, 21225 and 21061, represent Brooklyn Park, MD and Glen Burnie, MD. According to Robin Catlett, administrator of Anne Arundel County Animal Care and Control (ACCACC), these represent the 1st and 5th highest surrender rates for cats and dogs in Anne Arundel County.
From January 1, 2022 to December 12, 2022, we have provided free spay/neuter and other veterinary services to over 427 animals - 221 neuters and 206 spays.
We have helped 42 dogs and 385 cats from two low income area zip codes in Anne Arundel county, Maryland, alone! This year, we have also been providing animals that are in the ACCACC shelter with spay/neuter services as well - thus directly helping reduce shelter euthanasias and unecessary litters. We continue to help animals outside of Anne Arundel as well.
As you may know, we rely solely on grants, dontions, and the support of people just like you to continue our life-saving work.
If you would like to help us help more animals, and help the neediest of people - the ones who lack the resources to give their pets the care they need - please share our project with like-minded animal advocates!
