Love barter, education for 150 Colombian children

Due to the restrictions that continue due to the covid-19 pandemic, the Fondation have a program to support 70 families "Learning in the Family”, they have psychosocial support, information on prevention and care of possible intrafamily and gender violence.

The Christmas barters were delivered to children at three Fondation headquarters: Brisas del Volador, Bella Flor (locality of Ciudad Bolivar) and Arrayanes (locality of Usme). All the meetings were carried out with all the biosecurity measures.

They were days, with Christmas activities, accompanied by Santa Claus and snacks for the children to have a special gift and above all to accompany them at such an important time for them.

In addition, thanks to the participation of 34 volunteers, the educational processes of 42 boys, girls and adolescents are being supported by providing them with support in the performance of their school duties through technological tools, since, due to the lack of knowledge or resources to the Parents find it difficult to monitor their children's study.

The program is of great importance to avoid school dropouts and to generate support in the life project of the children, who also receive advice from the Procolombia entity and its volunteers. For the Fondation it is important to continue generating actions, in this case from virtuality through Google Meet and WhatsApp.

This year will have the gender equality campaign all the year, for this reason different actions are carried out, including the launch of the podcast "Gender equality, building the path" and training in technologies with Mastercard such as # girls4tech.

The covid-19 pandemic has drastically affected our children, that is why we saw a great opportunity to cheer them up on one of the most important dates for them, Halloween, that is why we carried out a campaign for our donors to support us with 100 packages of sweets, which were delivered to each one's home, with all the health care. In addition, we wanted them to enjoy this holiday beyond the sweets and remember that the most important thing is family unity and costumes.

We held a costume contest where our boys and girls dressed up with the help of their families, we gave the most resourceful and creative a gift, as a sign of the effort and fun they showed. Thanks to this celebration and to our children, we realize that if we are together we can move forward regardless of the problem.

In the last three months, we have accompanied the boys and girls of the town of Ciudad Bolívar, Usme and San Critóbal Sur with the support of school and psychosocial tasks.  Our principal goal it's Maintain the emotional health of children.

It should be noted that thanks to the support of Cmillas, it has been possible to manage a social fabric of personalized accompaniment for children, these children have received help during the week to carry out school tasks, because their families find it difficult to carry out the tasks with the minors, due to lack of knowledge and resources.

We have also supported some families with markets, to mitigate hunger in the quarantine that the Government decreed by Covid-19, they have been given basic food to keep that need covered to those who have not received state aid.

The education campaign to summon the families of the community began in January, we toured the entire Annie House in the town of Usme. The objective was to show the little house where girls and boys play, read, study in the afternoons after school.

School kits were gave to children who carry an old process in recognition of the love exchanges they have made. This scholarship that is given to them is integral, where the parents and mothers strengthen their emotional ties with their children, through school accompaniment.

We also celebrated the 3 years of La Casita, on Saturday, February 15, making a story with its history. We play, sing and eat cake with our community children, families and leaders.

Finally, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays we are supporting homework and school reinforcements for children doesn´t leave the school and fulfilling their professional dreams in the future.

In Ciudad Bolivar, we gave more than 35 scholar kits for two communities.
