Hello from the team at the Cape of Good Hope SPCA,

First we wish to say, above all else, that we hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy at this uncertain time.

We messaged you at the beginning of this year to acknowledge that we knew 2020 would be hard- we had no idea then just how hard times would become for each one of us.

The Corona Pandemic has brought the world to its collective knees- all as a direct result of animal cruelty stemming from the wet markets in China. We stand by our mission - that No animal should suffer. Animal Cruelty Must Stop.

Our team of SPCA Inspectors, Veterinarians and Animal Care Workers have continued to work throughout the lockdown here in Cape Town, South Africa, despite the risks all because of their love for the animals who need them. Some staff even chose to live on site to be close to the animals that need their care.

We will continue to offer refuge to the countless animals in Cape Town that need our help and thanks to your support we can continue our mission to prevent suffering towards all animals.

Support from animal lovers just like you, who trust that we will do what is right for all living creatures,  enables our Inspectors to continue to protect the thousands of animals who still  need us during COVID-19. From abandoned pets, injured wildlife or vulnerable farm animals in need of our care.

Thank you for being a voice for those that are unable to speak.

Animal Cruelty Must Stop. No Animal Should Suffer.
