Bride trafficking survivors are often some of the most marginalised people in their communities. With no agency, voice, or livelihood, they are relegated to an existence that is akin to slavery. Therefore, this project was designed as a way to address this issue. The program aimed to conduct vocational and entrepreneurship training that would equip survivors with the requisite skills and technical knowledge to setup their own businesses, which would thus enable them to become independent, financially and otherwise. LED bulbs can be easily assembled with available materials, and once the survivors are linked to the supply chain, they can easily manage their businesses with the technical and managerial knowledge that they gather from the program.
