We will meet with the Encho-sensei in the new year to discuss how far we are able to go with the funding collected thus far.
Aside from the computers and requested items which were purchased for the homes in Kumamoto, there is an estimate for $12,000 USD to have the entire home set up for WIFI to allow the kids access to the internet.
There were numerous, generous donations throughout the year in response to the earthquake. Though everyone was very stoic in the aftermath of the earthquake, as they did not feel they had suffered as severly as the previous disasters in Tohoku; Kumamoto suffered a lot.
They will be rebuilding the group home which was destroyed in the earthquake which the children luckly had escaped from before it collapsed to the ground.
We are hoping that with the iPads, computers, PENCILS from Fifty Three, BlueRay player, Xboxes, washing machine, printers and numerous other items purchased will not only replace the broken items but give the children numerous channels to preoccupy their time as the community rebuilds.
Thank you all again,
Living Dreams
