Empowering Youths through Skill Development Training
The project primary focus group are disadvantage and poorest of the poor youth, with special emphasis on female , also prioritized dalit, and poorest of the poor household. The project emphasis is on disadvantage youths belonging to dalit, and poor families. The target group are socially and economically excluded and landless community and literacy level is very low . The average qualification of the target groups are 10th class. Further they are seriously lacking technical expertise and it restrict them to get engaged in jobs. Induction of more sophisticated and modern technology has bounded the recruitment of manpower. It compel them to engaged themselves in labour work (i.e. in agriculture, brick factory, house construction etc.) but it is not the permanent solution of getting employment and are also exploited by landlord. Here they live hand to mouth life . Youth with 10th and 12th class pass are illiterate to computer education, where there is great opportunity of employment at anywhere.
They are not able to fulfil the minimum emergency needs of family and it causes acute frustration among youth. Unemployment is a big challenges for the poor community in this area and timely long term employment is the only solution of the poverty. It affects the target groups i.e. disadvantaged and poorest of the poor schedule caste/dalit, backward caste and poor family. In this line when we consider unemployment of youth it is heart-breaking. The situation is becoming grim as no. of unemployed youth especially in deprived family is gradually increasing.
The process adopted is identification of the disadvantage youth by participatory approach & organisation survey with close involvement of the community.
