Empowering Youths through Skill Development Training
The project target group are disadvantage youths including female , with focus on dalit, and poorest of the poor household. The project emphasis is on disadvantage youths belonging to dalit, and poor families. These are excluded and landless community with high illiteracy. The average qualification is 10th class, but seriously lacking technical expertise and it resist them to get support staff jobs. Induction of more sophisticated and modern technology has bounded the recruitment of manpower. Due to which youths are highly engaged in labour work (i.e. in agriculture, brick factory, house construction etc.) but it is not the permanent solution of getting employment and are also exploited by landlord. Youth with 10th and 12th class pass are illiterate to computer education, where there is great opportunity of employment at anywhere.
Due to lack of employment they even don’t fulfil the minimum needs of family and it causes acute frustration among youth. Unemployment is a big challenges for the poor community in this area and timely employment is the only solution of the poverty. It affects schedule caste/dalit, backward caste and poor family. In this line when we consider unemployment of youth it is heart-breaking. The situation is becoming grim as no. of unemployed youth especially in deprived family is gradually increasing.
Community will identify the disadvantage youth by participatory approach & organisation survey .
