2nd quarter report

For second quarter we identified 290 youths with disabilities in Mandya district and Mysore taluk. 

We signed ToR(Terms of reference) with The associations of People with disability(APD) Bangalore. MOB started the referral partnership effect from 1st August 2019. Meanwhile, MOB team to undergo the 3 days orientation program to understand the APD LH program.

Now we are focusing to enrol at least 25 to 30 candidates per month.

APD livelihood coordinator Mr. Raghu AH visited for BH visited to MOB RHC for screening the candidates. 17 candidates are attended 1st screening program. By next quarter will enrolled 100 youth with disabilities for various trainings. 

Now 1st batch undergoing APD training program. Apart from APD we also helped few youths with disability to get job in local area.

Few youth with disabilities are facing difficulty to travel Bangalore. so for we provided some financial support to buy sheep’s. Now 2 members purchased sheep’s and  5 people started self employment. Through our intervention 4 girls are enrolled to tailoring classes. Once their training finished they will happily run their life independently. 

We are collaborating with Anganvadi teachers, ASHA workers and Village rehabilitation workers (VRWs) MRW’s community health workers and Taluk hospitals to mobilised youth with disability.

So for we are conducting health awareness programs and legal awareness programs also. Through this various activities we are mobilising youth with disabilities to enrolled livelihood.
