1st quarter report of livelihood for Ywd

The Team MOB began the survey on May 3rd 2019 with the Great Spirit. Theselected locationis Mandya district and Mysore Taluk.Based on the primary data we visit door to door and meet the disabilities and their families.

 

Our target is Identification of 1000 PWDs with 3 categories of disability.Till the date we have identified 150 youths with disabilities.End of June will identify 250 youths.We Offer them a 15 day residential preparation course (Foundation Course) prior to vocational training.

 

When we were meeting them we motivate forlivelihood through vocational training course.Once they done with course they are eligible to work and earn Rs.8000 to 10000 per month which helps them to meet their expectations and they can become economically independent.

 

In this regard we have collaborated with NYK Manyda, RUDSET Mysore, Vijaya bank vocational training centre, CHESHAIRBangalore, Association of People with Disabilities (APD Bangalore), Voice of Needy Foundation (VNF Bangalore) and Tirumurthy Rural Development Centre (TRDC Kanakapura)

 

Course will range from 2-4 months depending on type of course.We send the beneficiaries batch wise and each batch consistof 20 to 30 youths with disabilities. Field/follow up support to ensure retention during training and in the work place.
