Our latest Annual Review is packed full of impact stories and photos from all our programme locations in India (and Madagascar), keeping you up-to-date with our progress over the last year. If you haven't already seen it, please do take time to have a look - just click here. You will find inspiring stories from many of our wonderful chicken farmers, like Selina for example. Her story epitomises how our poultry farming programme can be the stepping stone to a new beginning for many of the women who embark on this learning journey with us.
Like all our new farmers, Selina started with one toolkit of ten chicks but quickly grew her enterprise into something more substantial, until she had the confidence and cash to start a new small business and fulfil a long-held dream.
We visited Selina during a field trip with our friends from The Artemis Charitable Foundation earlier this year. She was so proud to show us the small shop she has created at the front of her house, selling jewellery and a variety of household items. We were only too pleased to support her initiative and buy a few pieces from her, as you can see in a short video we made, part of our ‘Take One Minute’ series.
