We have started to make a series of short videos to support our written reports to better show the impact of our programmes in West Bengal. We are not film-makers by any stretch of the imagination but we have really enjoyed the opportunity to capture some inspiring stories during our field visits and publish them online so that all our supporters and generous donors (like you) can 'meet' the families we are helping.
In January, Olly and Yasmine (one of our trustees) travelled to India and came back with some more great footage. We'd like to show you one story in particular. It's a great story. In fact it's a fantastic story, as you will hear when you watch the short video.
It features Kalyani who has been raising chickens on our Poultry Development Services programme for a year now. The money she has earned from selling the produce has had a big impact on her and her family, significantly changing their lives for the better. It's still a hard life with many struggles to overcome but she's very proud of what she has been able to achieve since she joined our programme. Please take a look at Kalyani's story:
We hope you enjoy the video and we look forward to showing you more video stories soon.
