Another Classroom Completed - On to the Next...

Our beautiful new aquamarine-colored classroom is finally completed - which completes the construction of the Live and Learn in Kenya Elementary School - and is joyfully being used by our preschool class. They will be the first grade when the new school year begins in January, so they may as well use it now instead of the tin-roofed shack that they were in up until now. Months of hard work, time and funds were poured into these walls, floors, roof and ceiling of this classroom. We are all so happy and thankful for all of the amazingly generous donations that we have received over the months to be able to finish this 8th classroom at the Live and Learn in Kenya Education Center in Nakuru, Kenya.

It is seldom possible for children coming from such horrendously poverty-stricken slums to be able to attend school at all - never mind being able to attend a modern and fully-equipt and beautiful school. You have helped to make this possible. Now we are able to provide all that the children need to be all that they can be in an environment that is so necessary for children to grow and learn and have a good time doing it. This new classroom and the loving and patient Teacher Anne is exactly what these children needed to escape the desolate, dirty and trist Nakuru slums where they live. This new beginning is a huge step into a future where the children will learn to demand more of themselves and from life - and be willing to work for it with their heads held up high with self-confidence and dignity. That's what it's all about - working their way into a brighter future - a future where they can really make their dreams come true - a future that every child deserves!

We are planning to begin the next 3 classrooms in a tract of land on the other side of the Live and Learn in Kenya Education Center for our early learners between the ages of 3 and 6 in 2019. We want them to have an early kickstart into a brighter future and out of the vicious circle of poverty. We can do it with your help.

Asante sana - thank you so much!
