Los primeros hilos

By Natalia Cortes | Direccion de Programas

Hello! It has been 3 months since our first crowdfunding campaign to finance our project LIV, which aims to build a support network of alternative actors to assist women with low levels of education who live in violent circumstances. This support network will be trained to provide appropriate emotional support to women who are victims of violence and to mitigate the factors that contribute to victims not reporting their experiences or seeking help. We are excited to share our progress with you.

Through GlobalGiving, we raised $800 USD to finance the activities that the program requires, and in the following lines, we would like to share with you the advances we have made in consolidating the training and formation of this support network for women.

Currently, our project is in a back-office stage, which means that we are preparing the materials, resources, and managing the spaces that will be required to carry out the execution of the programs. We plan to begin the training process for the first week of May.

For now, we can list the activities we have completed and their progress:

  •  Design of virtual and face-to-face training: 100%
  • Construction of the manual with tools and skills to be able to replicate and share what is learned: 100%
  • Update of the virtual course on emotional containment: 100%
  • Initial contact with institutions, organizations or companies interested in receiving the training: 60%
  • Management of spaces for the implementation of training: 60%

Thank you very much for your donation. Thanks to you, we will be ready to start building this support network, as we envision the emergence of a coordinated system of care integrated by alternative actors capable of supporting women who are victims of violence; and with that objective in mind, we will continue working until we see it consolidated.

With love,

Equipo Olascoaga®
