Project Report | Apr 29, 2026
Litokryl Space (January-April 2026)

By Hanna Karika | Director

During the period from January to April 2026, the Litokryl space in Kharkiv continued its consistent work with children and families, combining daily activities, group sessions, individual consultations, and larger-scale events.

Key results for the period:

  • 9 large-scale events (celebrations and special formats)
  • 1,401 unique children and parents
  • 5,117 visits to the space

It is important to note that these 9 events represent only a part of the work, as a significant number of regular sessions were conducted alongside them, forming the foundation of ongoing and consistent support for children. This regular engagement explains the high number of repeat visits and the gradual development of trust in the space.

Engagement dynamics:

  • January and February showed steady growth in participation among children and families
  • March marked the peak of activity (1,730 visits), driven by an expansion of group formats
  • In April, a high level of engagement was maintained despite ongoing security challenges

What stands behind these numbers:

We continued to develop approaches to psycho-emotional support through art therapy, body-based practices, group interaction, and play-based formats, helping children better understand their emotions and gradually restore a sense of safety.

Special attention was given to working with parents, as their involvement directly impacts children’s well-being. The space has become not only a place for activities but also a point of support for families, where they can share experiences and gain practical tools for everyday life.

The demand for an offline safe space remains high, and the consistency of visits shows how important it is for children to have a stable place they can return to, even in conditions of prolonged stress.

We continue this work because we see the real impact of consistent support on children and families. With your help, we are able to keep this space open, develop our programs, and ensure access to support for those who need it every day.

Thank you for standing with us. Your support makes it possible to continue providing consistent, compassionate care to children who need it most.

If you’re able, please consider supporting Litokryl Space. Every contribution helps us continue providing safe, consistent psycho-emotional support to children and families who rely on this space as a place of stability and recovery.
