This project is powered by Hotel Cayena and Hotel Eurobuilding. The devastating earthquake that struck Venezuela, coastal communities were left in the dark-vulnerable and cut off from essential basic services. In Venezuela, electricity is not a luxury; it is the lifeblood of their primary livelihood: tourism. Without a functioning power grid, their beaches lie deserted, businesses remain shuttered, and the livelihoods of hundreds of families are at risk of disappearing entirely.
The earthquake shattered the coast's weak power grid, leaving families without light, water pumps, or connectivity. This total halt of tourism threatens a permanent economic crisis. Rebuilding the traditional grid will take months and remains highly vulnerable to future disasters. The true challenge is to build back smarter, cleaner, and more resilient, ensuring that this vibrant coastal community is never left in the dark again.
Managed by Eposak Foundation and promoted by Hotel Cayena and Hotel Eurobuilding together we will install disaster-resilient solar systems at critical tourism hubs, restoring community autonomy and allowing local hospitality businesses to reopen their doors. To guarantee long-term success, we will train locals in photovoltaic maintenance, ecotourism, and hospitality. This co-creation model turns residents into guardians of their own infrastructure, accelerating green economic recovery.
By bringing power back to Anare, we restore community autonomy, power clean water pumping systems, enable refrigeration and connectivity, and allow local hospitality businesses to reopen their doors.
