This year, the Educating people on Child Sexual Assault was very successful. In all about fifty Basic schools were visited and the school children were sent through the sexual assault concept and role plays which made the children understood very well. In all, about 4000 pupils were been reached out to. This programme helped those who have been sexually abused before became bold and told us and were given help. We have identified about 12 student who have been abused before come boldly to confess. Those children still get care and support from our outfit and this gesture is highly appreciated by the beneficiaries.
There has been many applications received by schools in other regions to do this sexual assault in their schools but due to our numerical strength in the office and also financial constraints we are unable to meet those demands. One significant thing is the continuous technical support that we get from the Ghana Police Service and Ghana Education Service.
In 2012, about 19university students from Hong Hong, US and UK universities have applied to do their internship with our outfitand this has helped us to broaden our scope and line of activities on this sexual abuse program. In view of this we are making appeal to our donors to come to our aid as our program has reached a nationwide agenda.
