Light Libraries for Students in Sierra Leone 2023

By Megan Birney Rudert | President & CEO, Unite to Light

Thanks to supporters like you, Unite to Light was able to ship 2000 solar Luke Lights and 200 Chandler Chargers to the World Food Programme in Sierra Leone in 2023. Thank you!

These solar Lights and Chargers are now making their way to the country and we'll provide another update when they arrive and distribution begins. The lights will create Light Libraries in 100 rural schools across the Country. The Chargers will ensure that the teachers in these schools have power for their phones so they can report to WFP when they are in need of more food for the students.

In 2024, we hope to provide more Chandler Chargers across Sierra Leone so that teachers in more schools can better communicate with World Food Programme. Thank you for your support.
