Our staff and volunteers provide assistance to more than 40 children from 5 orphanages in Kyrgyzstan. They teach them how to protect their rights, take care on own health and finance, provide access to a decent education, get medical assistance, communicate freely through interactive games and train them in teamwork.
In Kyrgyzstan 13500 children without parental care live in orphanages and children's centers. They will be required to leave between the ages of 14 and 18, transition from an orphanage to an independent living is the most traumatic period. Undervaluing this transition process by the Government leads for structural problems for these children:they are left out from civic participation, are lacking information on their basic rights and could be involved in risky situations (prostitutions, crime, etc)
We provide trainings about human rights, educational opportunities, employment and communication for children from orphanages to gain necessary skills to live well and independently. The most vulnerable young people, who have a huge risk to be involved in crimes will get alternative way to grow up and suceed.
The project will educate more than fourty children, who left orphanages to rise out risky situation through gaining skills to be involved successfully into society and civic participation, have opportunity for personal development and influence for other children from institutional care to be an active member of the society.
