Challenge

Socialization, integration into society, choice of profession, preparation for independent life of blind youth in Ukraine was and is quite acute. This is due to the peculiarities of development due to the lack of vision, the hyperopia of parents, the education system in special boarding schools, where little attention is paid to the education of leadership qualities. Very often young people with visual disabilities are marginalized in public life despite their ability to be useful in community.

Solution

onducting 10 leadership trainings under the "Peer to Peer" program. Adaptation of the game "Life capital" according to the principles of universal design. Development of the "Life Capital" game model for players with severe visual impairments. Training of coaches on learning the rules of the game and its further implementation. Conducting meetings using the game "Life Capital" for young people in different regions of Ukraine. Creation of the online platform "Life Capital" for training

Long-Term Impact

Our project is to improve the quality of life of more than 250 young people with severe visual impairments by increasing their financial awareness, innovative thinking, reducing the risk of financial problems, and active participation in community life.
