We are delighted to announce that after 10 months of fundraising and community mobilisation of the upfront materials (bricks, river sand and crushed stones) we are now at window level with the building work of Siansowa Primary School's new library and e-learning centre. A very special thank you to Strathspey, Ashworth and Brian Murtgah Charitable Trust for giving us donations totaling £9,000 which will enable us to also purhase all of the furnishing and equipment for the centre! This will include laptops, desk top computers and a new printer for the school!

We are aiming to finish all of the building work, roofing, painting and furnishing of the library and e-learning centre by the end of November, so that the year 7 children can use their new centre for preparing for their end of primary school exams. In previous years the children at the school had an extremely low pass rate for their grade 7 exams (under 15%) which is one of the lowest in the whole of Sinaozngwe district.

A huge thank you again to every single one of you that donated last September and made this project possible for the 600 children at Siansowa Primary School. We look forward to sharing the photos of the finished building and what a difference it is making to the school and community soon.

"We are so excited to see the building work at our school begin, as we have not had any new classroom infrastructure since the school was first built in the 1990s! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone that has helped us!" Arthur, a parent and community member at Siansowa Primary.
