Since the last report submitted in March 2026, no new donations have been received for this project through GlobalGiving (GG). Nevertheless, at the Jacinto Convit Foundation (FJC), we remain firmly committed to ensuring the continuity of the Personalized Leukemia Tests for Venezuelan kids program, thanks to the generous support of our partners and donors, whose contributions make it possible for this initiative to continue benefiting patients across the country.
We are pleased to share that, in June 2026, we signed a new cooperation agreement with the Hospital Militar Coronel Elbano Paredes Vivas in Aragua State, further strengthening our network of partner institutions. This agreement represents an important step forward in our mission to expand the program's reach and provide access to these specialized diagnostic tests for a greater number of patients throughout different regions of Venezuela.
During this reporting period, we also experienced an increase in the number of samples received, reflecting the continued growth and impact of the program. Between March and June 2026, a total of 215 samples from pediatric and adult patients were processed, distributed as follows: March (44), April (60), May (76), and June (35).
Regarding the project's primary target population, 58 pediatric patients received specialized diagnostic testing during this period: March (13), April (15), May (18), and June (12). Each test represents an opportunity to achieve a more accurate and timely diagnosis, supporting informed medical decision-making and improving the care of children with suspected or confirmed leukemia.
The Jacinto Convit Foundation sincerely thanks all the donors, partners, and collaborators who make the continuation of this program possible. We remain committed to strengthening this initiative and expanding its impact so that an increasing number of patients throughout Venezuela can access specialized diagnostic testing free of charge and at the right time.
