Dear Donor

Although the funds for this project have not been enough, we have focused on doing small activities in very poor populations, some with indigenous Wajuu populations.

We coordinated one on the day of our 16th anniversary and another in Catatumbo's neighborhood, a Wajuu indigenous community in an area of very low-income people.

Also this Tuesday, September 28th, we will commemorate International Rabbies Day by conducting a free vaccination and against rabies and dewarming to benefit dozens of animals of Maracaib's community.

We will keep vaccinating family pets and stray dogs to help end up this endemic situation in Maracaibo.

You truly make the difference for us, and we are extremely grateful of generosity. We appreciate your support in time, this is a long term work that we must win, thank you again!

Dear Donors

It has been difficult to raise money for this purpose even though it is very important because Maracaibo, Zulia State, is where rabbies are endemic in our country.

Nevertheless all difficulties in place, we still summon people that, with effort, go to our community working day to keep safe their pets.

We will keep vaccinating family pets and stray dogs to help end up this endemic situation in Maracaibo.

You truly make the difference for us, and we are extremely grateful of the impact of your donations.

Thank you for your great generosity, your support is invaluable to us, thank you again!

Dear donors,

Happy New Year! We hope this 2021 is filled with joy, love and laughs for all of you and your loved ones as well.

We have continued to vaccinate dogs in Venezuela against rabbies but due to the lack of resources, we are offering these only in Maracaibo, Zulia State, where rabbies are endemic in our country.

At the moment, we have been able to offer these every two weeks to approximately 20 animals every week. It is hard for people in the area to move due to lack of resources and gas but we will continue to offer these as long as we can (basically, as long as we have the means to continue buying them).

Thank you for your continued support.

We are attaching some pictures from our first two vaccinations days of 2021.

With gratitude,

Yesterday was World Rabies Day and in order to reiterate our commitment to fight it, we did a house-to-house vaccination campaign, reaching 50 dogs & cats in Zulia State, one of the regions of Venezuela where Rabies are endemic and which is really in need of accessible and widespread vaccinations.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic and also due to shortages of fuel in our country, this house-to-house vaccination was even more needed and welcomed by the neighbors who were eager to have their animals vaccinated. Our team visited the houses by foot, under extreme wheater conditions, but with a great sense of satisfaction for the task accomplished.

It is important to note that many animals in this area are roaming animals, which makes its a key population to protect so they dont become vectors of infection.

We are truly committed to repeating this experience as the need is great and it was welcomed by the community. All we need are the funds to repeat this, which is why we are kindly asking you to become part of this team by supporting our work and donating now to be able to repeat in the next weeks this experience.

Also, please consider sharing with friends, family and colleagues our initiative.

Thanks so much for being part of this incredible journey.

From everyone in our team in Venezuela, we hope that each one of you and your loved ones are staying safe amid these challenging circumstances we are living worldwide.

Until the first half of March, we were succesfully organizing vaccination campaigns against rabbies in Maracaibo, an area of our country where this is an endemic disease and therefore the need is even greater than in the rest of the country. For the last 4 editions, we were able to organize them on a weekly basis which was great, with greater receptivity from the public.

Unfortunately, then COVID-19 happen and we were forced to stop with our activities. Just last week a broader scheme to reopen activities is being tested in our country and we are now exploring ways in which we can continue with this important work while complying with local regulations and making sure to follow the highest sanitary standards.

This too shall pass... and we will be able again to vaccinate. When we do so, the need will be even greater than it was before, so we need to be prepared. We are doing everything we can to make sure we are ready to go as soon as we can.

We have prepared a short video for you to take a look at one of this vaccination sessions pre-pandemic.

Thank you and stay safe,
