Many girls and women inChechnya do not make decisions themselves about their health. Someone else decides what is important and what is not, but not the woman herself. Young women and girls hide women's diseases. In the conditions of traditional culture it is considered shameful if the girl is ill before marriage, there is the risk that such a girl or young woman will not marry, therefore do not go to doctors, or go secretly.

There is a stereotype that if a woman is removed from a woman's organs, she "ceases" to be a woman, husbands from such women immediately turn away, lead a second wife, so women who have been diagnosed with cancer of the female organs shut up until the last moment. They do not address to the doctors. At the last stage, and more often than not such a woman can be saved.

Medical exams like Ultrasound and mammography are paying. The majority of the population does not have money for these medical exams, some women first hold ultrasound only during pregnancy.

NGO specialists working in the direction of creating and developing programs on the health of women, in cooperation with members of the professional community: doctors, teachers, journalists, psychologists, social workers and leaders of the youth volunteers' school, participate in the development of the program Let's talk about our health aimed at the prevention and promotion of women's health within the framework of traditional society.
