Cutting down of trees in Nigeria has rendered indigenous women vulnerable to Climate Change, Let's Combat Climate Change Together! We will be planting trees continuously to defend the rights of indigenous women and curb the wreakening of the atmosphere, soil erosion and sustain food production starting from 600,000 tree until we make the world a better place for us and posterity.
Individuals who are interested in renting land for whatever purpose entice indigenous women with money stating the fact that the trees on their land is a non-fruit bearing trees, this avail them the opportunity to cut down this trees without any opposition thereafter plant their crops, at the end they pay the women peanuts and contribute to carbon emission.
We will work with indigenous women in local community to reclaim their land, protect their rights and plant fruit bearing trees that will continuously provide fruits, the women will then sell the fruits when they mature thereby improving their standard of living.
As trees are planted to protect the rights of indigenous women in the community it will lead to self-sufficiency when the trees fully mature, the trees will curb C02 in the atmosphere as temperature continue to rise and the impact of climate change becomes inequitable it is evident that neither windmill or solar panel can absorb C02.The trees will provide food, shelter, mitigate soil erosion and generate sustainable source of income for the community.
