Due to Corona related economic distress, parents have completely stopped fee payments to school since March'20. For low cost private school like ours, School staff are not highly paid employees, and salary issues since March are impacting them severely. We are raising fund to help them with some relief till mid Aug, by when we hope things should start improving for all, some normalcy will be back.
Corona has severely impacted finances of many parents. For providing relief primarily to those parents, Government told schools to not force for fees payments and delay it for needy parents. But that got extrapolated by parents as precursor to future fee waiver or fee discount and completely stopped payment since Mar'20. Even in normal situation, we are dependent on our supporters for infrastructure building and 30% of running expense. This non payment led to no salaries of staff.
Till the schools do not reopen and start teaching students again at school, we feel that this problem of getting fee payment will not go away. Staff and their families need some support to survive this period and remain motivated for teaching. We have built a good team over several years and were all geared up for our 7th year of operations. Non-payment of salary is leading to lot of distress for staffs. We hope with our supporters generosity, we will be able to provide some relief to them.
In the long term, with the support, we will be able to retain our staff, that we have trained over last many years and aligned with our vision. They will be grateful for the support and would survive the crisis and become more loyal to school and continue providing good education to students for long time.
