Learn Early to Serve

By Chad E. Detwiler | President/CEO

Roof replacement
Roof replacement

NCCC AmeriCorps SW Region team Grizzly 5 is active in Oklahoma on a 6 week service project.  These young adults are learning what it means to serve your neighbor as they perform construction tasks for disaster surviving families who have waited over a year for help.  Roofing, insulation, drywall, painting, etc. are all tasks the team is learning how to accomplish.  Listening to disaster survivors share their story is also part of the task, but also part of the recovery as the families heal through having volunteers provide much needed help.

Disaster survivors in Oklahoma are growing in number after this years border to border tornadoes have wreaked havoc in numerous towns. Volunteers from no skill to high skill are needed and are able to help.  Through professional contractor project management any volunteer willing can make a difference in a disaster survivors life. Help is needed, help is in your hands!
