Anyone Can Learn Service

Drywall Installation

Often times we hear "if we only knew what to do we would serve".  ROAD exists to help those who desire to volunteer by providing the knowledge, equipment, and materials to help them fullfil their calling. Our project managers are skilled contractors in all phases of construction so when a disaster survivor has a need for home repairs, we are able to assess the need and teach the construction disciplines to the volunteers to accomplish the task.

The services we provide are an ongoing need in Oklahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plain in the form of tornadoes, flooding, hail, and straightline winds.  March and May of 2022, like most spring weather in Oklahoma, produced a significant amount of tornado and flooding damage across the state.

Debbie and her team of 5 volunteers from a local church desired to serve, but did not have the construction knowledge or the tools to do so.  After a ROAD Project Manager explained the work that we had need to complete, the team was very excited to learn those new skills.  During their four day mission the team installed a roof tarp to stop leaking, removed insulation from the underside of a mobile home to stop mold growth, and learned how to install drywall in a home ready to be repaired.  This team headed for home with a great sence of accomplishment and left several disaster survivors with a great sence of releif in having their help.

ROAD continues to serve disaster surviviors through teaching volunteers home repairs while they learn the great need disaster survivors have in our state.
