A very happy new year to you!
We made it to 2024. What a blessing!
We hope it is off to a great start. If it isn't, we are rooting for you to get to where you desire; one step at a time.
It is such a joy to still have you here with us. We get to live out our dreams, together. How awesome is that?
So, things have been pretty great since the opening of the Angaza Resource Centre. Lots of wins, growing pains and lessons. We have celebrated, survived remained resilient through it all.
After the opening, we took time to stock the centre, put final touches and recruit teachers. It became fully operational in October.
Since then we have provided books for reading sessions, taught literacy, numeracy and computer skills to over 400 children.
18 teachers have also received computer training.
It has been incredible to watch ideas that were only in our heads not only come to life, but also benefit the community.
This week, we shall begin our very first holiday program for in and out of school children. Teachers in our partner schools will also receive training in phonics. This training will enable them acquire more tools to support the learners to read better.
We are also in the process of recruiting additional partner schools so as to widen our reach, as we aim for a 30% increase of learners.
The team is excited about all the possibilities and the impact that will follow.
