This project will enable 7 communities in Uganda, a total of 1000 children and 507 parents to lead a world wide movement to close the educational gap. A community in Kagadi, Uganda created a school in a vacant field. A year later they are mentoring 6 other communities to do the same. Their goal now is to hook into a global learning environment. To do that they each require the means to access global knowledge as well as share knowledge back. Each village requires $2,880 to obtain this goal
Stephen Hawking, world renowned physicist, believes humankind must colonize another planet or perish in the next 100 years. We are at a turning point in our history where there is a choice of widening the gap of inequalities or creating a system of collaboration with the understanding that the future of our world depends on it. Given access to a Learner 2 Learner environment, these 7 communities will create global awareness of the need to change our picture of learning.
Learning is a lifelong process that goes beyond the classroom walls. The Matrix of a Learner is a tool to mentor and support all learners towards being successful individuals, tolerant and supportive peers, sustainable communities, an educated populace, and a peaceful world. Changing how we look at learning will move us in the direction of solving our global problems here rather than tossing earth and humanity out like trash.
This project will impact 1500 learners, children and adults. The expectation as each of them are able to successfully reach their goals that they are to give back to another individual or group. That means we would potentially impact 2,250,000 more learners in 6 months time and in one year, 5,062,500,000,000 more people. This is a project which could effectively change the worlds attitude towards education of self and of others. Just imagine what $13.20 can do!
