Life with my mother became increasingly difficult after she separated from my father. She changed drastically, becoming violent towards my sister and me. Eventually, my sister left, but I stayed, living in constant fear. My mother’s threats kept me awake at night, and I could barely sleep. Her new relationship made things worse; she began drinking heavily, and soon she couldn’t even afford my school fees. I lost all hope. In my despair, I turned to drugs, developed stomach ulcers from hunger, and fell into bad company. I started stealing just to survive and feared for my life every day. But then, Glad's House stepped in. They provided me with the support I desperately needed. Now, I eat well, sleep peacefully, and my mental health has improved significantly. Glad's House gave me the chance to train in boxing, and it has transformed my life. Through their support, I've been able to participate in tournaments, including traveling outside of Mombasa. My life has changed in a big way, and I’m finally on a path to a brighter future.
