Dear Donors,
We sincerely thank you for your interest in the Learn to Swim & Survive: Water Safety for Women project. At this time, no donations have been received, so the planned training sessions have not yet begun.
Across many communities, women and girls are exposed to water risks through daily activities such as washing, fetching water, and caring for children near rivers, wells, and ponds. Yet many have never had the chance to learn how to swim due to cultural barriers, cost, and lack of safe training spaces.
Without basic water safety skills, preventable drowning incidents continue to occur, leaving families at risk and women unable to respond during emergencies.
This project is designed to train 300 women and adolescent girls through women-only sessions held in safe environments on July 25, World Drowning Prevention Day. Participants will learn swimming, floating, rescue techniques, and basic first aid under the guidance of trained female instructors.
With the right support, more women can gain life-saving skills, protect themselves and others, and respond effectively in water-related emergencies.
We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so this training can begin and reach those who need these skills.
Thank you for your kindness and continued support.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
