Changemakers - social entrepreneurs - are solving society's most pressing problems not only in the United States but throughout the world. We operate a free, open-source & unique website that delivers critical US legal resources to help these changemakers start & scale their ventures: LawForChange.org. But, they are clamoring for access to free/reliable legal tools/guidance so they can operate & flourish in non-US countries, particularly in the developing world. Help LawForChange go Global!
Globally, social entrepreneurs are starting & scaling their ventures often with limited access to critical legal information. This jeopardizes their missions & compliance with the laws that regulate their organizations. Currently, the Lex Mundi Pro Bono Foundation operates a successful US-based free, open-source site - LawForChange.org - to provide legal tools & guides. The site has been tremendously successful but there is a global need for similar legal tools & up-to-date legal innformation.
LawForChange seeks to build a global site that will provide social entrepreneurs with reliable & relevant legal information for their countries & in doing cross border work to support their ambitious world-changing ideas. The global site will provide a central site from which to connect with country-specific sites. Initially, the country sites will feature content on available legal structures, doing business guides, & interactive features for visitors to ask questions & request resources.
LawForChange Global will empower & engage social entrepreneurs to understand & comply with their country's laws. By connecting local leading attorneys to a site to disseminate their knowledge, LawForChange Global joins the rule of law movement & simultaneously enables social entrepreneurs to engage & advocate for local legal changes that will support the pursuit of their missions. With thousands of social entrepreneurs operating worldwide, LawForChange Global will have tremendous impact.
