Quarterly Focus: Improving Communication Between Mothers and Teenage Boys
This quarter, we focused on empowering mothers to navigate communication conflicts with their teenage sons through our "Improving Communication With Boys" workshop. Our goal is to cultivate a more harmonious home environment, where mutual respect and understanding can thrive.
Key Activities and Outcomes
1. Workshop Implementation:
- Participants: Supported 7 mothers facing communication challenges with their teenage boys. These mothers participated in a series of workshops specifically tailored to address their concerns and improve familial interactions.
- Curriculum: The workshops included sessions on active listening, empathy building, and effective communication strategies. Each mother was equipped with practical tools to express themselves and understand their sons better.
2. Positive Impacts:
- Improved Understanding: Post-workshop evaluations indicated a significant improvement in the mothers' ability to communicate with their sons, with 85% reporting a better understanding of their children's perspectives.
