Each year our little school grows a little more. This year we have once again grown so much we needed to build another classroom. Faced with the decision of where and how to accommodate another classroom we decided to build a 16' x 20' temporary classroom on the only space left on our school owned property. We rent adjacent space as a playground, however we cannot build on that land. So, with that decision made, we prayed for the funds to make it happen!
As always, our prayers were answered. Through donations of school family and benefactors we managed to raise enough money to get the frame built, the walls up and the roof on. With a little more scrimping and saving and a couple more donations, we have been able to put in the windows, doors and the electical service! Once again, a dream is becoming a reality at Ambergris Caye Elementary School.
With the first day of school quickly approaching, we still need to find the funds to put in the tile floor, the ceiling, paint the walls inside and out and furnish the classroom. Two weeks and counting...it is said, that with the faith of a mustard seed you can move mountains! I believe we can complete this project before we have 15 bright-eyed, ten year olds looking for their seats on September 2nd, 2016.
We have been blessed to have donors like yourself help us grow each year. We thank you for everything you have done and continue to do to make Ambergris Caye Elementary School one of the finest learning institutions in this little island town, San Pedro, Belize. With your continued support we can make it all happen for years to come!
