Project: Educate 80 Students at Kurah Academy, Kaduna

Since the submission of our last project update, we have received additional support from two donors, amounting to USD 13.32. Combined with the earlier donation of USD 93 received on November, 2025, this brings the total funds raised to USD 106. We are sincerely grateful for every contribution received so far.
However, the total amount raised remains significantly below our projected budget, and this greatly limits the scope of intervention we can carry out at this stage. At the current funding level, the available resources would barely cover uniforms for fewer than ten students, out of the 80 students we are working to support at Kurah Academy.
Beyond uniforms, the needs of these children are far more extensive. Many students lack basic learning materials such as exercise books, pencils, school bags, and in some cases, full tuition coverage. Some children attend school with torn or shared books, while others struggle to remain enrolled due to financial constraints at home. Most families in this community depend on small-scale trading or farming, where daily survival often takes priority over educational expenses.
We have observed that when a child has access to proper school materials, uniforms, books, and bags. their confidence and ability to focus in class improves significantly. Without these essentials, even the most eager learner can feel discouraged or excluded.
While your support is already making a difference, much more help is urgently needed to meet the full needs of the children. Many students are still without uniforms, notebooks, school bags, and tuition support.
Next Steps
At this point, we are continuing to mobilize support toward reaching our target of USD 3,600, which will enable us to provide comprehensive educational support to all 80 students. Once sufficient funds are raised to make a meaningful purchase, we will proceed accordingly and share a detailed breakdown and photo documentation in subsequent reports.
